The Dynasty Warriors-inspired spin-off of Fire Emblem: Three Houses launches on June 24, but you can get a healthy head start on your progress with the demo. It allows you to play up to Chapter 4 with each of the game’s three leader paths while also allowing you to transfer your progress over to the full game once it’s out. The demo also supports local two-player co-op which should add even more flair to the traditionally flashy combat of the series.

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn was hit by a series of DDoS attacks yesterday, which resulted in the game being unplayable in the US. The good news is that the attacks are over (at least for now) and that players were only inconvenienced for five minutes in total.

On the official Final Fantasy XIV website, Square Enix reported the attack as an instance of “network technical difficulties” and said that it started at 16:58 PT. “We are investigating the attack and taking countermeasures,” Square Enix said in a brief update. This isn’t the first time that Square Enix has reported DDoS issues for Final Fantasy XIV, with stories going back as far as 2017.

Distributed denial of service attacks have hit popular games in the past, with bad actors launching a concentrated disruption of target servers by flooding it with artificial internet traffic. Apex Legends has had to deal with this issue constantly, with developer Respawn Entertainment recently announcing that it had taken “huge steps” to deal with the ongoing wave of DDoS cheaters in the game’s community.
